Seared Tuna Fillets with Cabbage & Beets
They were fresh, beautiful, and just the right size. I couldn’t take my eyes off them, so into my shopping cart they went for dinner. Here’s my Kitchen Spirit Recipe for Seared Tuna Fillets with Cabbage & Beets – hope you enjoy it!
Ingredients:
Fresh tuna fillets
Sliced mushrooms
Coarse ground pepper
Dried red chili pepper flakes
Organic coconut oil
Chopped green cabbage
Cauliflower florets, chopped
Roasted organic beets
Melt the coconut oil in a medium pan. Sprinkle both sides of fillets with pepper and add to pan. Cook 3-4 minutes and flip. Add sliced mushrooms and season with dried red chili flakes and a little pepper. Cook an additional 4-5 minutes or until done.
Mix cabbage and chopped cauliflower and steam in microwave for 1 minute. Cut a peeled, roasted beet into slices. Layer cabbage on a plate and top with tuna fillet. Add sliced beets on the side. Season with organic basil or drizzle with cauliflower gravy if desired.
